The music video challenges a few conventions of music video's.  In most music videos an actor or the singer is lip syncing most of the lyrics. In the music video there's only one scene of lip syncing.  The music video was about friendship. Most music videos are about relationships. There wasn’t any throw away scenes just to take up a lot of time. There wasn’t a lot of cutting between scenes.  The music video used a lot of convections also. A lot of stereotypes were used purposefully, which does represent social groups and issues. Bullying was addressed in the music video. The mean girl wasn't a white girl in the music, it was an Africa American girl.  The music video engages with audiences because it’s relatable. A lot of teens deal with bullying. People also tend to choose to surround themselves with the wrong people. For most people it takes being wronged by the person again and again to let them go. A lot of people atleast have one friend that doesn’t like another frien

Hey, welcome back! The editing plan is finished. Now all that’s left to do it actually edit the music video. The diegetic sound in the music video is going to be within the last minute and 30 seconds of You Belong With Me. The editing process it self went pretty smoothly. The main part that was troubling was the first scene. I don’t have much experience with editing. I definitely learned a lot when editing this music video. Getting the scene to zoom out then zoom back in took almost an hour to do. I had to mess around with the software a bit to have it up to my expectations. The rest of the music video didn’t give me that much trouble. I had to mess around with the timing on certain clips to try and make the timing and the lip syncing match up.    Luckily for me, i got them too. It was the favored take of that shot. I’m very happy that the timing matched up so well. The scene looks very clean and the syncing was just as i pictured it to be. A lot of cropping the timing of clips was d

Hey it’s nice to see you again! Since the filming is finished, the videos now all need to edited together. There’s more than enough clips to fit into the time limit. Most of the videos have been cut down to fit into the time limit. All mandatory clips to tell the story were able to fit into music video. The plan for editing is to able to sync up the song well enough, so that the scene of lip syncing the last line of You Belong With Me, will match up. The last line of the song is “you belong with me”, and it fits nicely with the scene. If that scene isn’t able to be synced then that’s okay. The scene was shot twice. Once with the lip syncing. There’s also one without the lip syncing. All the scenes were shot on the same phone so there’s not much worry about the quality changing from one scene to another. There’s also no worry about the clips being different sizes. All the scenes were shot with the camera angled the same way. No scenes were shot vertically. All scenes were shot horizonta

Hey, It’s nice to see you again! The filming is finished, there’s certain conventions in the music video that were followed and certain conventions that weren’t. A lot of stereotypes were purposely followed within the music video. There was the popular mean girl who was the bad best friend. There was the geek who was the good best friend. There was also the friend that’s trying to fit in with the mean girl, who was the neutral best friend. The mean girl wore very preppy outfits, and wore pink. The geeky best friend wore glasses and baggy clothing. The neutral best friend wore basic clothing. There was also other conventions that were used for the music video. There was other pop culture references within the music video. When the evil best friend was caught texting another person, the name of the contact was regina. This is an allusion to the commonly referenced movie Mean Girls. Regina is the stereotypical mean girl, antagonist in the movie. Regina is one of the most iconic mean girls

Hey, its nice to see you again! The music video was filmed yesterday. We filmed all the scenes, so all the filming is complete. I was the main videographer. There was some scenes that were shot that weren't in the storyboard. The original plan was to have a scene at an ice-cream shot. One wasn't close enough to film at, so the house was the only filming location. So scenes from the storyboard were changed. As filming went on some scenes were also added to the story. The lightening in certain shots also had to be adjusted, because there was a scene that was filmed in an in-home movie theater. So the lightening was really dim and there was some trouble in changing it. It was figured out, and the lightening was fixed. A tilt was also added as a scene and it helped add dramatic effect. The tilt was on of the harder scenes to film, because it had to be timed well. I had to tilt the camera as the actress fell on the bed at the same time. It had to be timed well to make it shot well

Hey, it's nice to see you again! The music video is going to be shot tomorrow. The carpool issue has been figured out. All members are going to carpooling to the filming location. Two members are bringing their changes of clothes to school. I don't have anything to bring because I'm going to be filming the music video. I don't plan on being shown in the music video. One member is going to be borrowing my glasses because she's playing the good best friend. The convention of the geeky best friend wearing glasses is going to be fit. The plan is to feed into stereotypes. So this would fit many conventions.  The plan was originally going to be to use notebook for the last scene. The plan is now to use a whiteboard, because it looks better then then the notebook paper. Which doesn't work as well, because whiteboards weren't used in Taylor's music video. So, that means that there's more less allusions to the original music video and contradicts more conven

Hey nice to see you again! There has been a few set backs with the music video. They have almost all be resolved though. One of the members is unable to access their phone. We are not filming at the original location that was chosen. There was a small set back in how everyone would get to the filming location. We are filming after school and there is not enough space in  the car for everyone. It was quickly solved though. One member is going to be getting a ride from their parent. The plan for the music video has been set, but there are still a few unknown variables. Such as how a member is going to get home from the filming location.  Another member has been sick for the past few days, so they haven't been in class to discuss. She has been texted the plan though. Filming is going to start on 12/8. It's going to be shot on an Iphone 13. Filming is planned to be from 3 to 6. Several members are bringing their changes of clothes to school, because several characters require outf
