When filming was being done, several integrate technologies were used. Marlo's phone was used to film. She has the iPhone 13 Pro, her phone was used because she had the best iPhone model in the group. Laptops from the school were used to do research on different coffee shop commercials; I also used the laptop to do research on the different editing software. I learned how to navigate the editing software's Capcut and Vimeo. A lot of my production skills developed through the project. I had to pay close attention to detail with setting up shots and having the product in the shot. Several times I had to redo a shot or stop filming because the products weren't in the right place as they were in the last shot, or last take. I directed the commercial, so I had to direct the rest of the group and listen to what the group thought would look best. Communication was very easy in the group, no one tried to take over when filming and coming to agreements was very easy. I learned how t

Hey nice to see you again! The editing has finally been done. There was a obstacles we had to overcome when editing. Marlo came up to me when the editing was being done. She had told me that she was having trouble adding non-diegetic sound into our commercial. Omnia had also came up to me and also told me that she was having some trouble using Vimeo. The timing was off on the transitions and they weren't as clean as I'd like. So, i had to figure out what app we were going to use instead. I asked another group what they had used for editing. They said that they used Capcut. I did a quick google search on some other options. I couldn’t  any other that would make it that easy to add sound and clean up transitions as well as Capcut did. So, Capcut was the editing software that was used. Capcut was free to use and had all the features needed. Capcut didn't have trouble loading in the sounds and clips. Vimeo was having a lot of trouble with loading in one of the major clips. Cap

Hey, nice to see you again! I had to do research on what editing software was the best to use for this commercial.  I was originally going to use iMovie for the editing software. After the first attempt with iMovie I realized it wasn't the best software to use. iMovie has a watermark that stayed for the last  five seconds of the commercial. Those last five seconds of the commercial are crucial though. Those last seconds are where the slogan of our product is. Our product is Dunkin Donuts so the slogan is "America runs on Dunkin." iMovie also makes it difficult for other editing that's needed for the commercial. iMovie also isn't compatible with all laptops, and you can't use all the features easily on a phone. So, iMovie is completely out of the running for what software is going to be used. Camtasia was another editing software that I looked at. With Camtasia you have to start a trial if you even want to begin using that software. Camtasia also isn't goi

Hey welcome back! On Wednesday October 5th we filmed our commercial. It was filmed at my house. I was the videographer, so I did all the filming. I set up all the shots. I also did most of the directing. I got the props we needed for filming. I had to figure out what looked the best for some of the shots. One of the shots was in a mirror. So, I had to figure out where to stand to make sure that the camera wasn't in the mirror. I also had to make sure both Omnia and Natalia in the shot. There was a scene with an over-the-shoulder shot that turned into a wide shot. So, I had to pace myself correctly in following Marlo to get the over-the-shoulder shot. I then also had to get behind her at the right angle to get a  wide shot of both Natalia and Omnia in the bed. We had to do a couple takes for each shot, because someone would laugh or look at the camera. There was even a couple times were i was the one who ended up laughing. In a few of the scenes i had to adjust the lighting in the r

Scene two: In this scene, the children go back to sleep and they feel very tired. They had a long day the day before. They went back into their deep slumber. Scene three: In this scene, the Mom barges into the bedroom of the sleeping kids and wakes them up. She tells them she bought breakfast and tells them to hurry up and get ready, so they can eat breakfast and still get to school on time.  Scene four: In this scene, the kids got up to go to the bathroom to start getting ready for the day, which they are running late to school and rushing, so they look miserable and tired. They end up changing outfits but their mood and their facial expressions show that they are angry and tired. Scene five: In this scene the children go to open the Starbucks

Hey, welcome back! The filming will take place Wednesday, October 5th. We are planning on shooting in the afternoon at my house. We’re just going to be staying at my house. We are going to be shooting in a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and the driveway. We will be using donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts and possibly coffee from there as well.  We are going to have a competing brand being Starbucks. In the commercial, we will show that Dunkin’ is the superior Donut and coffee brand. The costumes are going to be pajamas, and normal everyday clothing. If we do not all have the props we need, we can go to several stores near the shooting location to get props that seem like they would further influence the commercial. Stores near the shooting location. Our plan is to try to film within 1 or 2 hours. The backup plan is that if my house is not available, filming will take place at Natalia’s house. The same shooting procedure will be conducted, it will just be taking place at a different location. I
