Done with filming


 Hello everyone welcome back! I'm very glad to say the filming has been finished for Bedlam. More filming was done throughout the week for last scenes we needed. Now i don't know for sure if the filming is officially finished, because editing hasn't started so i have no idea how everything will look when it's all done. If more filming has to be done then so be it. The last filming that was done was at Fransheca's house. The group wanted a scene at a psych ward and obviously weren't able to go to one and film. So some improvising was done. I had to be very careful when filming in the room because the room had to be bare. A lot of stuff had to be moved around. It worked a lot better than expected and was definitely the best choice out of all our bedrooms. Mine was already used in the production, and i have way too many posters and random things on my wall. Omnia's room is also pretty lively too. Fransheca's room has white and grey walls. Which worked very well. There was only a little trouble with the wall that had fake leaves on it. I had to do some smart maneuvering The scene we filmed was the end of the film. The scene it self isn't that long. So it was done very quickly and was pretty easy. All the filming is for now finished and i will keep you guys updated on the editing. Bye, bye!

Props within the Film

 Hi guys, welcome back! So, for the film there was a lot props involved. Some the props that were used needed safety measures. Car keys were used in one of the scenes, these keys were Natalia's dad's. There was fake blood that was also used. I had to be very careful with the fake blood because it would stain clothes. Omnia (the main actress), had to have it on her back. The blood would've stained her shirt, so I gave her my wet shirt. It didn't end up staining the shirt. I can't say the same for my hands though. They were stained for around 3 days with the fake blood. There was also a scare that the fake blood would cement surrounding the pool. It did for a second, but with enough water poured onto it, it was fine. The biggest safety measure that was taken for real kitchen knife that was used. There was a safety kit that was on hand. Natalia's  dad was also home when the scene was being shot. So, if anything ended up happening it would've gotten quickly take

 The music video challenges a few conventions of music video's.  In most music videos an actor or the singer is lip syncing most of the lyrics. In the music video there's only one scene of lip syncing.  The music video was about friendship. Most music videos are about relationships. There wasn’t any throw away scenes just to take up a lot of time. There wasn’t a lot of cutting between scenes.  The music video used a lot of convections also. A lot of stereotypes were used purposefully, which does represent social groups and issues. Bullying was addressed in the music video. The mean girl wasn't a white girl in the music, it was an Africa American girl.  The music video engages with audiences because it’s relatable. A lot of teens deal with bullying. People also tend to choose to surround themselves with the wrong people. For most people it takes being wronged by the person again and again to let them go.
