Costumes

Hello everyone, welcome back. So from my past blogs i’ve realized i haven’t talked about the costumes that were used in the film. The costumes were a big part of the film also. They helped up the anticipation and showed time jumps. So, obviously the main costume was my costume. The clothing came from an old halloween costume i had, and the mask was from amazon (as you all know). I think that they fit very well together, and definitely added a layer to the danger the main character was facing. Due to the fact you don’t know who’s behind the mask. The costume was comfortable and i didn’t have any problems seeing out of it. Which was a slight fear i had when ordering it. Personally i think the mask itself is creepy enough as is. The main character had several costume changes in the film. She wore casual clothing when moving in and in the kitchen scene. This helped convey the fact that it was daytime and later in the day. When she was in sleeping scenes, she wore pajamas to help convey the fact it was night. This also makes her look more vulnerable, because she’s not even ready for the day yet. The final costume change she had was into a bathing suit. This was due to the fact the characters were hanging by the pool. This makes the hanging part more realistic, because who would hang by the pool without a swim suit. It was also for actress, so she wouldn’t have to get into the pool in her own clothing.
